You don't have to travel to the South of France to visit Mentone... Alice Mason named our fair village on the hill after said city in France well over 100 years ago and chances are, if you come to visit Mentone Al. you’re on a weekend get-away or a well deserved vacation. If you want to do a little web surfing, use your laptop and our wi-fi on the porch but if it’s adventure, shopping, a good restaurant or a simple walk in the forest, you can find it here …or just a few miles away.

Windwood Farms Restaurant

Situated in Mentone, this country farm house is a warm and inviting place to enjoy a hearty sandwich, generous plates, seafood dishes, salads, and deliciously prepared steak dinners...in fact the best steak I've ever had...plus, these guys are just a lot of fun to hang out with! Crow's Nest -- 256-634-4548. 6081 Highway 117 South, The Hitching Post in Town Square, Mentone AL 35984. collectibles and gift items from the surrounding area. The Hitching Post is a unique and interesting structure. In former years square dances were held upstairs every Saturday night.

It's a must you visit the WHITE ELEPHANT located on the grounds of the Mentone Springs Hotel....three stories of everything collectable you can think of and then some... I can spend all day there...

Snappy Tees Screenprinting and Gift Shop 256 634-0022 Located three miles east of Mentone at 3219 Hwy 117. We do screenprinting jobs for business logo shirts, camp shirts, family reunions and special events. Also available are mouse pads, cups and caps. If only one shirt or item is needed, that's not a problem. Our gift shop has many different printed shirts and hats and other items such as silver jewelry, flags, bandannas, wizards, dragons, windchimes, and much more. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

A and J Supermarket is in the big curve on 117 just before you drive up to Mentone from Valley Head and I must say this supermarket has been a blessing to us locals...no more driving 22 miles to Wally World. If you're visiting Mentone, Camping, renting a cabin or staying with friends, they have everything you'll need to whip up a great meal...
