Memphis Annie hails from high
atop Lookout
Mountain in Mentone, Al. and is the Innkeeper of the Historic Mentone Inn where she
incorporates her love for the blues into the events the Inn presents. In the past twenty years, she has performed with several veteran blues artists including Johnny Shines,
PinetoPerkins, John Lee Hooker. She is a regular on Beale Street in Memphis, Tn. and performed for the IBC
in Memphis last winter. Over the past 12 years, she was a
member of the Blues Alley Trio under the discriminating eye of Lou Savarin. She is a barrelhouse Blues pianist in the style
of Pinetop Perkins and a Delta Blues guitarist. The songs she writes hail back
to the heyday of the blues in the styles of Robert Johnson, Son House and Bukka White….
